Create an Email Based on a Notification

You can create an email in E-mail Builder based on a notification if you need to:

  • Include attachments with the notification and/or
  • Specify recipients that are either queried or who serve as contacts at the accounts referenced in the notification.

In this example, we will create an email based on lease expiration dates. We will include an attachment and the recipients will be contacts at relevant accounts.

  1. Open E-mail Builder from Administration.
  2. On the main E-mail Builder page, click Build E-mail.  Below are specific instructions and guidelines for each step. Read more about building and sending an email.
  3. Under the Design tab, in the body of the email, include variable text to ensure the notification details appear when the email is sent. Enclose the word 'Notifications' in curly brackets.

    Use {Notifications} in the body of the email only.

  4. Under the Recipients tab, use the Query or Checkboxes method to select recipients.
  5. Under the Schedule tab, fill out the form:
    • For Schedule Type, select Notification.
    • Select a Notification.
    • For Filter recipients by notification account(s), select Yes or No.  Yes is the recommended selection to keep the recipient list relevant to the notification.

  6. Under the Attachments tab, include an attachment if needed. 
  7. Click Complete & Schedule if you are ready to send the email.  

Quadra will check for Activity Notifications each hour and will check for Date Notifications twice a day outside of regular business hours. Notification emails scheduled through Email Builder will be sent at the same time as the notifications.
