Contact Management and Interface Views

Published on June 30, 2025

With Quadra 10.4 we have several updates to announce regarding contact management and module interface viewing options. These updates offer expanded capacity for data-capture and improve user navigation across section types and fields within modules.

UDFs for Contacts

User-defined fields are available for contacts in Quadra. This is a significant enhancement since users can now capture additional types of information unique to their organizations. UDFs are used extensively by our customers since there is so much nuanced data affecting asset management activities, plus the data varies by client. In Quadra, information related to people, either as certificate holders, leaseholders, vehicle owners, or other contact types, is also critical so we are excited to offer this additional flexibility.

Contact UDFs can be added through the following modules: Account Details (all types); Vehicles (Leaseholders, Owners); Property & Liability (Certificate Holders); Grants (Grant Resources); Structures (Occupant Types).

Access the UDF tab when adding a contact:

View Module Sections Setting

Under user preferences, there is a new setting 'Show sections as'. The setting includes the options of tabs, underline, expanding groups, or vary by module. This feature allows for a single interface view across Quadra or different views depending on the module.

We have designed Quadra to support various working styles and offer customized settings, such as this one, to enhance the user experience and streamline insurance-related tasks.

Note that if the tabs, underline, or expanding groups option is selected here, an alert in the section field for each module will state that the user preference setting overrides all other options.

This setting is accessed from user preferences. The option ‘Underline’ will display all modules with multiple sections using an underline for each tab:

In the Sections window for a module, this alert will appear if ‘Tabs’, ‘Underline’, or ‘Expanding Groups’ is selected:

Also related to preferences, note that we have reorganized user preferences by type for easier navigation.

Search Function Updates

For the quick search, we have added a new preference 'Always perform partial matches' for searches involving single words or shorter phrases without using asterisks. We have made it available for users who prefer to not use truncated terms with asterisks when searching assets or other rows. Quick search, the handy new field found at the top of the interface, was introduced as part of Quadra 10.

When this setting is selected, single words or phrases can be used in the quick search bar without using asterisks to indicate truncated terms:

Additionally, when searching contacts, there is a new option to include removed contacts:
