Save Searches

If you have to run the same searches on a regular basis, it is helpful to save them.  When you save a search, you can retrieve the results just by selecting the name.

Save Search Criteria in the Module Grid

 

  1. Open the Search feature and set criteria using the fields in the Search or Advanced tabs. 
  2. Select Search.

  3. Above the grid and next to the search criteria, select Save.

  4. Type a Search Name.

  5. Select Save Search. You will see the name of the search next to the criteria when it is in effect.
  6. Select Clear to remove the criteria or run a new search.

  2. Select the Saved tab.
  3. Select a saved search and click Search under the action menu. Alternatively, click on the name.

  4. Select Clear to remove the criteria or run a new search.

 

This feature allows you to copy and paste searches across modules.

  1. Open the Search feature.
  2. Select the Saved tab.
  3. Select a saved search and click Copy under the action menu.

  4. Close the Search window and open it in a different module.
  5. In the Saved tab click Paste Search. The copied search will appear in the list of saved searches.

 

  1. Open the Search feature.
  2. Select the Saved tab.
  3. Select a saved search and click Rename under the action menu. 

  4. Type in a new name and select Rename Search.

 

  1. Open the Search feature.
  2. Select the Saved tab.
  3. Select a saved search and click Remove under the action menu.

  4. In the confirmation box asking if you are sure you want to remove the search, click OK.

 

  1. Open the Search feature.
  2. Select the Saved tab.
  3. Select a saved search and click Search under the action menu. Alternatively, click the name to run the search.

  4. Once the results are displayed, click the name of the search.
  5. Using the Search or Advanced tabs, change the criteria as needed, and select Search.

  6. Above the grid, you will see that the name of the search no longer appears next to the criteria.  You have two options for saving this search:
    • If you save the search with the same name as before, the saved search will be overwritten with the new criteria.
    • If you save the search with a different name, it will be added to the list of searches.
       

 

Save Search Criteria in the Module Grid

To save your search criteria in order to keep the same set of results each time you open the module, click the checkbox for Remember my module grid search settings in the Preferences section under Your Account.
