Managing Events: Changes with Quadra 10
Quadra 10, released on February 3, 2025, is a major update that includes a revised interface, improved performance, new features, and a number of simplified functions for managing insurance and exposure assets.
As part of this update, the Events module has been discontinued. However, several revisions have been made in Quadra to accommodate events going forward.
As of February 3, clients will use the Other Exposures module for managing events. In Other Exposures, event information should be entered as follows:
- Use ‘Event’ as the Exposure Type.
- Select a Structure for the event location.
- Use ‘Number’ as the Ratable.
- Enter the event date as the Effective Date.
- Under the user-defined fields section, enter the following:
- Select the Event Type from the drop-down menu.
- Type the name of the sponsoring organization in the field Sponsor Name.
- Select an event time.
- Include the number of participants.
- Select yes/no for Alcohol Served.
The UDFs are already available in Quadra for all clients who have used the Events module within the last two years. The exposure type (‘Event’) and the ratable (‘Number’) are also available.
For clients with no previous event data or who haven’t used the Events module within the last two years, please note that the exposure type, ratable, and UDFs will need to be created using the Administration module. Learn more about creating user-defined fields.
Previous event information is available through the Reports module. Two reports, Legacy Events by Date Range and Legacy Events, provide details of events entered before Quadra 10. In the Reports module, search Other Exposures to quickly locate these reports.
