About Rate Classes

Quadra allows you to establish Rate Classes for your company's vehicles. Vehicles can include trucks, passenger vans, trailers, or company cars for employees. Each class of vehicle can have a different insurance rate assigned to it which impacts the allocation process.

Access Rate Classes

1. From Quadra, access Administration.
2. On the left hand menu, go to Vehicles and click Rate Classes. 
   
   

Add Rate Class

1. Open Rate Classes from Administration.
2. On the main Rate Classes page, click Add Rate Class.
   
   
3. Fill in the information on each of the tabs: General, Accounts, and Advanced.

Once you have filled out the required fields, you can save all changes at once by selecting Add Rate Class.

Add General Information

1. Type in a Name.
2. Select Vehicle Classes.
3. Continue to the next section.
   
   

Add Accounts Information

1. Select specific Accounts if needed. If none are selected, then the rate class will be available to all accounts.
2. Continue to the next section Advanced if a more targeted query is needed.
   
   

Add Advanced Information

1. Run a query as needed if you need to target vehicles with more specific characteristics such as year or capacity.  Read more about running advanced searches.
2. Select Add Rate Class.
    

Edit Rate Class

1. Open Rate Classes from Administration.
2. Select a rate class from the list and click the Edit under the action menu. 
   
3. Navigate to the desired section using the tabs and edit fields as needed. 
4. Select Save Rate Class.

Remove Rate Class

1. Open Rate Classes from Administration.
2. Select a Rate Class from the list and click Remove under the action menu. 
   
3. In the confirmation box asking if you are sure you want to delete this rate class, click OK.
