Overview of Report Builder Controls

1. Design Surface:  This is where report elements are placed. The horizontal and vertical rulers display tickmarks in the report’s specified measurement units. 
2. Toolbox:  Click and drag elements from the Toolbox onto the Design Surface to format the report.
3. Main Toolbar:  Access various controls including cut, copy, undo, or validate bindings.
4. Elements:  These are the various fields, labels, or images that appear on the report.
5. Controls to access Properties, Expressions, Field List, and Report Explorer:  Opening these panels allows you to specify characteristics of the elements as well as edit relationships between data-bound fields.
