Importing Templates
Templates ensure that data is entered into the correct fields during the import. Columns differ depending on the type of import and if the import is intended to add or edit data.
Using Metadata to Prepare Templates
Download Template

From Quadra, access Administration.
- On the left hand menu, click Data, which will open a drop-down menu.
- Click on Importing Templates.
- In the Select Template field, select the template you want to download.
- The template is available in three formats: Microsoft Excel Worksheet, JSON File, and XML Document. Read more about these formats.
- Select one of formats and you will be directed to an image displaying the format.
- Above the image, click Download Template. If you need to download a file with sample rows, click Download Sample.

Using Metadata to Prepare Templates
Metadata, accessed from Quadra or from Help, provides details on how data should be entered specifically for each column in the template, including fields that are required, the maximum number of characters allowed, formats (text, numbers, etc.), pick lists showing the accepted values to be entered, and other information.

From Quadra, access Administration.
- On the left hand menu, go to Data.
- Click on Importing Templates.
- Select a template in the top field.
- Select the Metadata tab at the top to view information on the fields to be included in the template.
